Over the last 13 years, Emcon have built a reputation as being one of the premier medium- sized construction companies in the Western Cape where quality, speed of construction and cost control are at the forefront.
Emcon was established in 2007. The company operates out Wetton, Cape Town and offers the highest quality construction, project management and specialist subcontracting services to our clients.
Our senior management team is made up of young, qualified individuals, who are registered professionals in their fields. Our leadership structure is made up of 6 Senior Management staff who share in excess of 100 years’ collective experience between them.
Over the last 17 years, Emcon have built a reputation as being one of the premier medium- sized construction companies in the Western Cape where quality, speed of construction and cost control are at the forefront. We work with only a handful of loyal clients with whom we have forged longstanding relationships and focus on servicing them really well.
These clients happen to be some of the biggest names on the JSE in the Property, Financial, Healthcare and Educational Sectors. Most of our projects are negotiated because of these relationships which are based on mutual trust and honesty.
Our primary focus is and always will be project delivery to the highest standard, subsequently, handing over projects in record times is a trait for which we have become renown. We strive to make every project the best we have ever delivered by learning from past experiences and constantly wanting to do better and striving for perfection. This mindset, combined with premier construction software systems including CCS and Buildsmart enable us to service clients with utmost transparency and efficiency.
Our current staff compliment has grown to just over 240 members and include specialist plumbing and electrical companies under the Johnny Walker Plumbing and CA Electrical Brands.
At Emcon we are firm believers in giving back in every form including time, money, expertise and encourage collaboration and long- term partnerships. Some of our initiatives include partnerships with religious institutions, schools, places of worship and feeding schemes. Some of these are executed in partnership with some of our biggest clients and have become recurring events.
Our belief in a healthy, active lifestyle also means we are committed to its development and as a result, collaborate actively with various sporting codes. These include previously disadvantaged sports clubs in the rugby, cricket, soccer and netball fraternities.
Every year Emcon sponsors a number of full bursaries in the built environment and assist with the mentoring of students in their second/ third year of study. This takes a very structured form to ensure maximum benefit for learners in all aspects of our field.
Over the last 7 years we have been involved in the start-up and development of 10 separate entities into fully sustainable subcontractors sharing the Emcon values we so painstakingly strive for. Many of these companies have become instrumental to the Emcon success story and are an integral part of our family.
The programme covers compliance registrations, administration, tendering, construction best practices and the roadmap to eventually becoming a preferred Emcon supplier. We ensure under the programme that these companies have adequate cashflow and all the tools & machinery necessary to carry out the required tasks to the best of their ability.
